Student Ministry: Middle School Registration (Grades 6-8)

Throughout April, students are going to be lead through a study series called, "I Am." In this four-week series, we will dive into Jesus' words about himself to learn how his words can reshape our lives today. Through what Jesus says, we will learn that Jesus is love, is truth, is always with us, and is our savior.

The best way to know about someone is to let them tell you who they are. We may think we know who Jesus is, but have we let him tell us in his own words? What might happen if we made space for Jesus to speak for himself? There are seven times when Jesus directly told his disciples who he was. In these "I am" statements, he shared with them what it meant to follow him, his heart for others, and how his followers can strengthen their relationships with him and with God.

Welcome to the registration page for middle school student ministry programming at Morningside Lutheran Church! Our middle school programming is geared to students who are in 6th to 8th grade.

Middle school programming is held on Wednesday evenings. Students meet from 5:30 - 8:00pm. This time includes a meal, a time of fellowship, large group worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, interactive games, an engaging small group time, and occasional service projects.

Rite of Confirmation:
Middle school students are also invited to participate in the Rite of Confirmation from 6th to 8th grade. Confirmation teachings will be part of middle school programming on Wednesday evenings. Students will learn about Martin Luther, The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, and The Apostle's Creed through large group teachings and discussions with their small groups.
